Commission E - Dinkes Agree to Continue Improving Healthcare Services

Jakarta City Council Commission E Vice Chairwoman, Agustina Hermanto advocates for the improvement and expansion of healthcare services in Jakarta.

We ensure that residents are still served

Her party agrees to keep improving healthcare services, including the availability of medicines, emergency room facilities, and beds.

"If there are indeed shortages and real needs in the field, we'll push for additional support for the benefit of the community," she expressed, Thursday (7/24).

Along with the Health Agency (Dinkes), they are also studying the issue of the shortage of medical personnel, primarily doctors in regional hospitals.

On the other hand, the budget for adding auxiliary health centers in the urban villages has also been prepared. However, it has not yet been realized due to asset issues and land status problems.

"Hopefully, each urban village has its own health center and no longer needs to share or move locations. This is important so that healthcare services can be evenly and comprehensively available throughout Jakarta," she asserted.

Jakarta Dinkes Head, Ani Ruspitawati, explained that all sub-districts in Jakarta currently have health clinics in good condition. However, there are still about 15 urban villages that do not have auxiliary clinics due to land status issues.

"Some are still waiting for land confirmation, asset transfer processes, or the land is simply not available yet. But, we ensure that residents are still served through mobile clinics or directed to the nearest health center," she explained.

She emphasized that the principles of healthcare services continue to be upheld, even though not all sub-districts have physical auxiliary health centers.

"We're pushing to the nearest health center, where basically in Jakarta, each urban village has a health center," she said.
